Once filled with Bible-believing scholars, archaeology is increasingly dominated by skeptics who dismiss Scripture as reliable history. In this challenging environment, God has called ABR to stand in the gap by contending for truth and supporting the church. As a non-profit ministry, ABR demonstrates the Bible’s historical reliability through original archaeological fieldwork, research, and apologetic studies. Since the rise of modern archaeology in the mid-1800s, many discoveries have confirmed or illuminated biblical narratives, helping Scripture come alive in new and meaningful ways.
Every year, hundreds of archaeological excavations are carried out in the lands of the Bible. The vast majority of these are led by archaeologists who do not accept the historicity and accuracy of the Bible.
Associates for Biblical Research is the only evangelical apologetics ministry leading a licensed excavation in Israel.
