Proverbs 16
There are so many verses this chapter that are variations on this theme:
Us: "Hey, we know what we're doing!"
God: "You haven't got a clue!" (putting it nicely)
Verse three gives us the advice we need:
Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.
In other words, get out of the driver's seat and let God take you where He wants instead of asking Him to just ride along while you set the itinerary.
Please leave a comment on the verses that struck you today.
God will bless your reading,
Pastor David

Verse 18: "Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."
ReplyDeleteHow often pride and self-importance works against us as warned here. God would like us to have a spirit of humility.
There are many admonitions to this effect in the scriptures such as Luke 18: vss.1-14 about the pharise and the publican.
